Conducted 5 usability tests to ensure the design allowed for successful and efficient interaction with the data.
Included 5 individuals with varying levels of familiarity with interactive data visualizations.
Key Findings
All participants were able to navigate and interact with the data visualization.
Issues
Some users found the controls for the 3D environment initially confusing.
Participants wanted more detailed information on each data point.
Solutions
Simplified the controls and added a tutorial for first-time users.
Included more detailed hover-over information for each data point.
Closing Thoughts
This project allowed me to explore new tools and techniques in interactive data visualization. I learned the importance of user feedback in refining and improving design elements.
I plan to continue refining the data visualization platform based on additional user feedback and expanding the dataset for more comprehensive insights.
